EPIPHONE GUITARS PAGE
STYLES OF GUITAR COLORS & WOODS
There are flat top, arched top, accoustic and hollow or solid body electric models. Guitars are made from several types of wood, including maple, spruce, and rosewood (this is used especially for necks.)Guitars often have sound holes - of course, for the sound to come out. There are two common types; round hole and "f" hole. The latter gets it's name from the shape of the sound hole. Here is an "f" hole guitar, (this is a 1941 Epiphone Deluxe) and the picture is courtesy of C.R. Gibson USA.

Colors may be solid or of a graduated style, such as sunsburst. A guitar is often the natural color of the wood. Colors are pretty much limited by your imagination when it comes to lacquer.
Guitars are made of many types of wood, each giving a special type of sound or resonance. Guitars are made of spruce, maple, cedar, and other woods.
Guitars have been around for many years.

The guitar below is a 1950 Zephyr Deluxe Regent, Acoustic/Electric.
